On April 30, 2026, a large event dedicated to the development of women’s entrepreneurship and strengthening the business environment in Uzbekistan took place as part of the “PRO Business Ladies” festival.
The festival brought together business representatives, experts, and international organizations, becoming an effective platform for experience exchange, networking, and discussion of key trends and challenges in entrepreneurship.
Welcome speeches were delivered by:
— Gulnora Makhmudova — Chairperson of the International Association of Business Women “Tadbirkor Ayol”;
— Matthias Wangler — International Consultant and Country Director for Uzbekistan at German Sparkassenstiftung for International Cooperation.
The highlight of the event was an expert session:
“Women’s Business: The Energy Changing the World”
Speakers:
- Zafar Mustafayev — Chairman of the Leasing Association of Uzbekistan, CEO of Uzbek Leasing International A.O. JSC;
- Gagik Makyan — Founder of “Fides”;
- Kamila Mirakhmedova — Founder of the family winery “Uzumfermer”;
- Leylar Elman — Clinical Psychologist, ICF Coach.
During the session, participants discussed key topics:
- the role of women in economic and business development;
- modern financial instruments, including leasing;
- support for entrepreneurial initiatives;
- the importance of personal and professional growth.
The event was conducted in an open dialogue format: guests asked questions, shared experiences, and established new business connections.
Exhibition zones, masterclasses, photo zones, and a gala dinner were also organized, creating a comfortable atmosphere for communication, inspiration, and collaboration.
