On May 7, 2026, a Zoom webinar was held on the topic: “Training and Certification of Specialists in Islamic Finance in Uzbekistan”.
The event was organized by the Association of Certified Financial Professionals of Uzbekistan (ACFP), “Islamic Business and Finance” (IsBF) LLC, and the Leasing Association of Uzbekistan.
During the webinar, participants discussed key issues related to the development of Islamic finance in Uzbekistan, the prospects for the introduction of Islamic banking activities, as well as the need for qualified specialists in the industry.
ACFP is a professional association established to promote international standards of financial education and certification in Uzbekistan.
IsBF is the first specialized organization in Uzbekistan focused on the development of Islamic finance. The company provides financial solutions compliant with Islamic finance principles, educational programs, consulting services, and professional certification.
In connection with the adoption of legislation aimed at introducing Islamic banking activities in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2026, the demand for qualified professionals in this field is growing significantly. In this regard, ACFP, together with “Islamic Business and Finance”, has developed a professional qualification system in the field of Islamic finance.
The program includes a three-level training system and has been developed in accordance with the standards of AAOIFI — the Accounting and Auditing Organization for Islamic Financial Institutions. AAOIFI standards are recognized in more than 45 countries worldwide and cover accounting, auditing, Sharia compliance, corporate governance, and professional ethics.
Representatives of the financial, legal, and leasing sectors participated in the webinar.
The speakers of the event included:
- Mikhail Perper — Chairman of the Association of Certified Financial Professionals of Uzbekistan (ACFP), Candidate of Economic Sciences;
- Jakhongir Imamnazarov — Founder of “Islamic Business and Finance” LLC, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics;
- Jamshid Usmanov — legal expert and practicing attorney at “Constat”, holder of the AAOIFI certificate in Islamic finance.
The webinar was organized for executives of leasing companies, business development specialists, HR directors, and everyone interested in the implementation of Islamic finance products and instruments. Such events contribute to the development of professional competencies, enhancement of knowledge in the field of Islamic finance, and expansion of the application of modern financial products in Uzbekistan.
