International Leasing as a Tool for Attracting Investment and Promoting Exports: Highlights from the International Session of the “LEASING CALLS” Conference
On October 26, 2026, the international session “Capital Without Borders: International Leasing as a Tool for Investment and Exports” took place as part of the 3rd All-Russian Leasing Conference “LEASING CALLS”, bringing together representatives of the leasing industry and professional associations from several countries.
Participants discussed the prospects for international leasing, financing the acquisition of foreign equipment, export support instruments, and mechanisms for structuring cross-border transactions. Particular attention was also given to risk management, overcoming currency, tax, and customs barriers, and exploring alternative mechanisms for international settlements.
The session was attended by representatives of leasing associations and professional communities from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as representatives from India, China, and the United Arab Emirates.
The session was moderated by Evgeny Tsaryov, Chairman of the Council of the International Organization for Eurasian Cooperation (IOEC).
A special highlight of the program was the presentation by Zafarjon Buribaevich Mustafayev, Chairman of the Leasing Association of Uzbekistan. His presentation, “Uzbekistan’s Leasing Market: Islamic Finance as a Mechanism for Attracting Investment,” delivered in the Small Hall as part of the “Capital Without Borders” session, explored the development of Uzbekistan’s leasing market and the potential of Islamic finance as a tool for attracting investment.
The international session provided a platform for exchanging professional expertise, discussing current industry trends, and strengthening business ties among leasing markets in different countries. The discussions highlighted the importance of international partnerships, effective financial solutions, and expanding the role of leasing in stimulating investment and supporting exports.
